The team at Summit Merchant Solutions, as a sales entity for Certified Payment Processing (CPP), recently participated in the “Comfy Clothes Campaign,” our annual fundraiser for the American Heart Association.
We usually set aside the month of August for the campaign, but this year, it was extended to include July as well in hopes of raising more money. Those who participated donated fifty dollars for each month, and they were allowed to wear casual clothing not normally in the dress code policy, including shorts, t-shirts and sandals.
And it was a huge success We raised more than $24,000, which is more than we’d raised in the prior three years combined. And this year, nearly three-quarters of our entire staff participated.
Way to go, Summit...and the entire CPP team!!
From the American Heart Association website: Cardiovascular disease is the nation’s number one killer. The American Heart Association (AHA) invests more than $132 million a year ($3.2 billion since 1949) in heart and stroke research. Since 1924, AHA has been working to improve health in local communities. The Heart Association trains millions of Americans each year in CPR and first aid, and educates healthcare providers every day.
